Beginner’s Sewing Day Workshop – A Perfect Start (or Refresh!)
This full-day workshop is ideal for anyone who has never sewn before or for those wanting a confidence-boosting refresher with their sewing machine.
We’ll start right at the beginning, covering how to thread up your machine, what all the settings mean, how to change a needle, and how to troubleshoot common problems so you feel confident and in control.
Once you’re comfortable, you’ll put those skills into practice by making a series of small, useful projects:
A zip pouch to learn how to insert a zip
A pin cushion
A fabric scissor holder
You’ll go home with practical items to add to your sewing kit, along with a solid foundation of sewing knowledge and confidence to continue at home.
All materials are provided, the pace is relaxed and supportive, and no prior experience is needed — just come along ready to learn and enjoy sewing.
Sewing machines can be provided if needed, however if you have your own it is advised to learn on that.
